Wolfsong: First Milestone by CherryRiceSammich Wolfsong: First Milestone by CherryRiceSammich
I made it into Game Lab at my University, and I'll be doing concept art for one of the games. The game I was selected to be on is "Wolfsong".

Wolfsong takes place in a mystical spirit forest, and the protagonist (in the form of their spirit guide, a wolf), journeys through it in order to gather traits of body, resolve, and wisdom. This is a concept of the milestone of body!

This piece was done in about 8 hours with some touch up since then.

beautiful, i really like this magical shrine! you could try to use a bit more fog in the distance.

Thank you! At the time I had no idea what atmospheric pressure/perspective was (or how to do fog), so I ended up doing that by accident and deciding that it looked rightish!). I may have to retouch this image in the future, so I'll definitely add more fog! Thanks again!

Thank you! This is one of the few pieces that I'm actually proud of how the lighting turned out.

Thank you! That means I managed to pull it off >: D
I love your settings! This looks like the kind of place that I want to visit :-)

If I could venture a small suggestion, the wolf, which is an important part of the narrative, is literally marginalized in the composition. Just a tad bit too close to the edge, IMHO. Maybe moving the wolf a little upwards, or adding more space at the bottom of the image, might give it a little more breathing room. Just my 2 cts.

Other than that, it looks great!

Thank you so much! This was semi inspired by the reference images that were given to me by the director, and partially by the area I live in.

Thank you for the suggestion! I always appreciate your feedback. I'll toy around with it to give it a little more room. The wolf was undoubtedly the most rushed part of the image, so I didn't give as much thought to placement. So thank you for pointing that out!
